Kuroshitsuji - The most beautiful jewel by Midgard1612 Kuroshitsuji - The most beautiful jewel by Midgard1612
Another picture with my very dear friend :iconbunny-the-doll: as Prince Soma from Kuroshitsuji / Black Butler.
This was the second snake she hold in her hands: A California mountain kingsnake.
She looks really poisonous, but thanks god she wasn't.

My model acted very well with this snake, there was more sympathy between them...

Later I will add more pictures.

It's a really nice cosplay, i'm quite sure it's coincidence, but the maid focus of this picture (to me, everyone's different) happened to be the gold. To reduce this you should try a different angle because the main focus is usually the center of the page that happens to be the garnet ring straight in the center. Some time's it's better to show the background, for this picture i would have suggested lots of greenery and perhaps a lake but i guess you can fade out the background but for this one it should have been a light colour otherwise it hides soumas hair colour making the ring the center point because it's a vastly different colour. Also, for this particular model, try a different angle to compliment her? face shape. Lastly, cosplayers usually have the models not facing the camera because it makes it seem more natural. Naturally, you can do as you wish, but extremely experienced cosplayers e.g. Reika and Kaname, have only a few that look directly at the camera. It can't be denied that it a 1/3 body shot was quite a good choice. If you want the background to be more defined, do a full body shot and a mid body shot to pronounce the model. From an angle don't let the main feature be covered up by strong colours elsewhere. That's all from me, feel free to mark this as unfair if you think it is too harsh, however, although it doesn't seem, i have been critiquing for a few years for my friends.
Oh and before i forget, try to take the character's habits and personality into account. e.g. I don't thin souma ever stops smiling unless he's mad or upset and if so perhaps a big smile would be nice. If (IF), souma had a habit of twirling his hair try to take that into account and have a picture like that.
